Alexandra DeTrolio or “Miss Alex” has been dancing since the age of 3. Aside from growing up at her home studio she trained at New Jersey Ballet and was a member of the New Jersey Tap ensemble under the direction of Deborah Mitchell. She has performed with the New York Liberty “Lil Torches” and the Knicks City Dancers as a Knicks City Kid at Madison Square Garden. She is best known for her leap and turn training methods which have become well known not only in the competitive dance world but with gymnasts and ice dancers as well. Her students have been recognized in top ten overalls, regionally and nationally as title winners and received many special awards! She is currently on staff with Imagine Dance Challenge. Miss Alex’s attention to detail and passion for the job make her an asset to any staff!
Jenny LeProtto started dancing at age four, studying all forms of dance including tap with Mike Minery (Tapaholics, Slide, American Tap Festival, JUMP Director) and performing works by Ray Leeper (So You Think You Can Dance Choreographer, NUVO Director). While she trained in all forms of dance, Jenny's current fortes are teaching tap, hip hop and jazz, as well as teaching all styles of dance for young children. Jenny is best known for her tap choreography. She was recently recognized by American Dance Awards for many of her tap, jazz and lyrical pieces. Jenny’s work has been described as “intricate, polished and exciting!” Jenny is a graduate of Seton Hall University with a major in Education.
Kristilee Maiella studied at Dance Academy of North Jersey where she trained with Jason Luks, Jaclyn Walsh, Angelica Stiskin, Lynn Grossman, and Terk Waters. In her final year of high school, she won the coveted "America's Dancer of the Year" ADA National Title, and she performed in the Capezio A.C.E. Awards as a cast member in Jaclyn Walsh's "Off The Grid". In her sophomore year as a dance major at Montclair State University, and member of the Department of Theatre and Dance’s Works-a-Foot, Kristilee performed in three landmark pieces: Horizon (chor. Early Mosley), To Have and To Hold (chor. Shapiro and Smith), and Gift (chor. Stacey Tookey). As a senior dance major at Montclair, Kristilee focuses on the performance aspects of dance, as well as training in ballet and modern technique.
